Lotus CEO Mike Kimberley is stepping down on Friday, as back problems are forcing him to prematurely call it a career. Kimberley will turn 71 in August. He's in his second stint at Lotus and has been CEO since 2006.

The boffins at Swiss automotive madhouse Rinspeed – the people behind the Lotus Elise-based sQuba submarine – have announced their latest exercise in Geneva motor show lunacy: the iChange, a concept car that changes shape to accommodate different numbers of passengers. Unlike its aquatic stablemate, the new Rinspeed iChange is strictly meant for dry land, but it does continue the company’s trend of battery-powered exotica, using three lithium-ion power packs. The iChange has radical bodywork that changes the car’s format.
-- In Alberta, Canada, a man stole a John Deere tractor and evaded the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as he crashed through fences, trees, and a field before rolling it on a hill. The Mounties were only able to find the tractor when a passing snowmobiler followed the snowy tracks. This article was posted on social media via astronaut Chris Hadfield, which makes this news story the most Canadian thing ever.
